The Opportunity

Design and implement effective AI solution architecture or strategy utilizing approaches of various AI technologies and methods to address clients' business problems and needs while complying with the organization's strategies, business goals, and key ethical considerations. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision. Mentor or supervise employees in both company and technical competencies.

Required Experience and Skills

• 3+ years of experience in application development, AI and ML engineering, software engineering, or data science
• 3+ years of experience designing, developing, operationalizing, and maintaining complex software or ML applications at enterprise scale
• 1+ years of experience creating software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data to support ML workflows
• Experience creating solutions within a collaborative and cross-functional team environment
• Ability to code and develop scalable solutions from scratch using languages such as Python or TypeScript
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, problem-solve creatively, and operate with minimal supervision
• Ability to develop scripts and programs for converting various types of data into usable formats, and support project teams to scale, monitor, and operate AI and ML platforms
• TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's degree

Nice to Have

• Experience with full-stack application development or deploying ML models
• Experience with Palantir tools such as Foundry
• Experience with distributed data or computing tools, including Spark, Databricks, or pipeline data science tools such as Alteryx
• Experience working on real-time data, streaming applications, or AI model deployment
• Experience with data warehousing using AWS RDS, PostgreSQL, or Snowflake
• Experience with Agile engineering practices
• Ability to rapidly master new AI and ML frameworks, libraries, and tools
• Ability to be technically curious and eager to learn

Clearance

Compensation

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD).

Work Model
