About the Role

We are seeking an "Analysis ML Engineer" to join our client's team on a full-time consultant basis in Oslo. This role involves rebuilding data products to a modern platform to transition to efficient management, operations and artificial intelligence (AI). The setup comprises approximately 100 integrations and 450 datasets used by around 200 users for financial models and analyses.

As an analysis/ML engineer, you will enable analysts and researchers to analyse data, develop models and visualise their results on the new platform, by building a bridge between standard financial/statistical analysis and advanced machine learning, and guide the organisation in implementing modern tools.

Responsibilities

• Configure analysis tools on the new data platform, including Matlab, R, Python, SQL, EViews, Stata and Julia.
• Provide training to users in the use of these analysis tools.
• Develop operational frameworks and guidelines.
• Establish model setups and evaluate how existing data models can be integrated on the new data platform using Databricks and MLflow.
• Challenge the organisation to adopt new technology and guide in daily use of it.
• Manage migration of on-prem modelling to the cloud together with training in modern technology.
• Manage development and automation of models and figure production for cross-organisational sharing.
• Participate actively as a project contributor in the analysis team on the new data platform.

Requirements

Competence and experience:

• Experience with and/or organisation of large data volumes for analysis using various tools.
• Experience developing models that run on large data volumes for forecasting and trends.
• Experience building frameworks/templates that make analysts' analytical work easier across different tools.
• Experience with machine learning (ML) modelling, versioning and historicisation across different tools in an MLOps setup.
• Strong technical competence in technologies such as Databricks, MLflow, Python, R, Matlab, Stata and PowerBI.

Education and seniority:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT (preferred).
• Senior level with extensive professional experience.
