Senior Oracle GovCloud Solution, Integration & AI Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking a Senior Oracle GovCloud Solution, Integration & AI Architect to provide senior architectural leadership across the Oracle SaaS and PaaS ecosystem. This individual will provide immediate architectural support for the production Oracle environment while establishing sustainable architecture, integration, resiliency, disaster recovery, development and AI standards.

The architect must possess deep hands-on knowledge of Oracle GovCloud, OCI, OIC, ATP, Oracle SaaS integrations, APIs, disaster recovery and emerging Oracle AI capabilities. This is not an infrastructure administrator position. The resource will serve as the senior technical authority connecting Oracle Applications, OCI, OIC, ATP, integrations, development, security, compliance and AI architecture.

Work You'll Do

  • Assess the current Oracle GovCloud technical architecture
  • Review architecture delivered during implementation
  • Identify architectural risks, technical debt and supportability issues
  • Review existing integrations and identify design or reliability deficiencies
  • Establish Oracle technical architecture standards
  • Establish OIC integration design standards and reusable patterns
  • Conduct technical design reviews
  • Review technical solutions before production deployment
  • Provide architectural oversight for Oracle APEX and VBCS solutions
  • Establish API architecture and development standards
  • Establish error-handling, logging, monitoring and recovery standards
  • Review ATP architecture and database integration patterns
  • Partner with Infrastructure on OCI architecture
  • Partner with Information Security on Oracle security architecture
  • Partner with Internal Audit on compliance and auditability requirements
  • Mentor Oracle technical resources
  • Lead technical root-cause analysis for complex production issues
  • Reduce key-person dependencies through architecture documentation and knowledge transfer

The architect must possess strong practical experience with:

Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity

The resource must have practical Oracle Cloud disaster recovery experience and be capable of working with the client's Infrastructure and Information Security teams to:

  • Review current DR architecture
  • Identify application and integration recovery dependencies
  • Establish recovery procedures
  • Define or validate RTO/RPO requirements
  • Develop Oracle application recovery runbooks
  • Coordinate DR testing
  • Validate integration recovery
  • Validate ATP recovery
  • Identify single points of failure
  • Document recovery sequences and dependencies
  • Support Business Continuity planning

Oracle AI Architecture

The architect will provide architectural leadership for the client's adoption of Oracle AI capabilities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Establish Oracle AI Agent architecture
  • Develop enterprise AI design standards
  • Identify appropriate Oracle AI services and capabilities
  • Define AI integration patterns
  • Establish secure access patterns for AI services
  • Establish data-handling and data-boundary requirements
  • Design logging, monitoring and traceability for AI solutions
  • Establish human-oversight requirements for AI-enabled business processes
  • Partner with technical developers to design and implement AI services
  • Partner with Information Security and Compliance to ensure AI solutions operate within approved frameworks
  • Establish standards for promoting AI solutions from proof-of-concept through controlled production deployment

FedRAMP / NIST / Compliance Requirements

This position requires substantial experience operating in government or highly regulated cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

  • FedRAMP

The architect will not replace the client's Information Security or Internal Audit organizations. The position must be capable of translating those organizations' requirements into practical Oracle architecture and engineering standards.

  • Experience supporting enterprise production environments
  • Experience operating within formal security and change-management frameworks

Salary & Benefits

The expected annual base salary for this position is $170,000–$190,000. Salary offers are made based on a variety of candidate-specific factors such as skills, performance, job responsibilities, prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and market considerations.
