Partner AI Solution Consultant Advisor - oCFO

USA, CA, Pleasantonyesterday

About Workday

We're a Fortune 500 company and a leading AI platform for managing people, money, and agents, shaping the future of work so teams can reach their potential and focus on what matters most. Our culture is rooted in integrity, empathy, and shared enthusiasm.

About the Team

The Partner AI Experience team is Workday's dedicated investment in accelerating our most strategic GSI and Ecosystem partnerships. Working alongside the Global Partner Organization (GPO), this team serves as the technical, functional, and quantitative experts, providing the enablement infrastructure, product intelligence, and go-to-market support that allows our partners to build and sell Workday AI with confidence and speed.

Each pod is aligned to a single strategic GSI or Ecosystem Motion and staffed with specialists across the oCIO, oCHRO, and oCFO domains, along with a dedicated Business Value Architect. The pod works across the partner's solution consulting teams, architects, offering leaders, and value desks to ensure the partner's Workday practice is equipped, differentiated, and positioned to grow.

About the Role

As a Senior or Principal Partner AI Advisor (oCFO) in the Partner AI Experience team, you are the Finance-focused functional expert within your pod for Workday's Financial Management suite and its agentic AI capabilities. You help ensure the partner's Finance-aligned teams — solution consultants, offering developers, and practice leads — have the depth of knowledge they need to position, demo, and build Workday-led Finance and accounting AI solutions with confidence.

You will build your expertise in Workday Financials and agentic AI, translate the roadmap into outcome-focused narratives, and support partners as they position Workday in Finance transformation, planning, and AI decisions. You will collaborate closely with your pod, Solution Architecture, and Solution Consulting to keep partner teams current on Workday capabilities and confident in differentiating Workday when customers are evaluating platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Practice Readiness

  • Develop strong expertise in Workday Financials and agentic Finance capabilities and use it to enable partner Finance solution consultants and offering teams.
  • Support delivery of enablement that helps partners gain early visibility into Workday's Financials roadmap and AI capabilities — including Core Financials, Accounting, Financial Planning, Procurement, and agentic Finance solutions.
  • Contribute to persona-based functional playbooks (CFO, Controller, Head of FP&A) that translate Workday's capabilities into outcome-driven narratives the partner's teams can take into conversations.
  • Help interpret upcoming Financials releases for partner offerings, go-to-market positioning, and client conversations.

Agentic Finance & Accounting AI

  • Help partners understand the agentic AI opportunity within Finance — where intelligent automation, AI-driven financial insights, and accounting agents create value for their clients.
  • Support the pod in articulating how agentic AI transforms Finance operations, including use cases such as close automation, anomaly detection, real-time forecasting, and intelligent procurement workflows.
  • Contribute to discussions on the regulatory and risk landscape around Finance agentic AI — including audit trails, financial controls, data integrity, and compliance considerations.
  • Assist in identifying industry-specific agent libraries and high-return use cases where partners can build differentiated, partner-owned Finance solutions on Workday's agentic platform.

Competitive & Functional Positioning

  • Help equip partner Finance teams with current competitive positioning — how Workday differentiates across the Finance landscape versus legacy platforms, point solutions, and AI-native players.
  • Translate Workday's functional differentiation into clear, outcome-focused language that resonates with Finance stakeholders.
  • Share partner-developed Finance solutions and innovations back with Workday's field and solution consulting teams so joint customers benefit from the partner's IP.
  • Support joint industry events, Finance forums, and practice conferences with partners, contributing to presentations on Finance transformation and agentic AI.
  • Act as a first line of support for partner Finance teams on functional questions and common competitive objections, escalating or partnering with senior team members as needed.

Demo & Functional Readiness

  • Collaborate with Solution Architecture and Solution Consulting to help ensure partner demo environments reflect current Workday functionality and product depth.
  • Help bring partner-built Finance solutions back to the Solution Architecture and Solution Consulting teams so Workday's field can demo partner-delivered Finance solutions seamlessly.

Flexible Work

With Flex Work, we're combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work.

We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together.

Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
