The Infrastructure AI Consultant translates customer and partner priorities into secure, scalable strategies for adopting and optimizing Microsoft Azure infrastructure, data, and AI solutions. The role engages key stakeholders to clarify business outcomes, technical requirements, delivery considerations, and operational readiness; communicates expected value; identifies risks and mitigations; and collaborates with internal teams during pre-sales to shape opportunities through industry insight and technical guidance. The consultant also promotes reusable intellectual property, improves standard offerings, and identifies opportunities to accelerate Azure adoption and consumption.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with Solution Architects, Pursuit Leads, Consulting Account Executives, and other stakeholders during pre-sales to translate business requirements into secure, scalable Microsoft Azure Infrastructure AI solutions. Provides industry and technical guidance, shapes solution offerings, and supports proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Defines delivery staffing and skill requirements, including Azure infrastructure, data, security, AI engineering, and program delivery capabilities, and provides input to Resource Deployment, Technical Delivery Managers (TDMs), and Project Managers.
- Follows capacity-management processes defined by the Resource, Insights, Capacity, and Capability (RICC) team and maintains accurate, current records of skills, certifications, and availability.
- Leads customer and partner discovery sessions to understand business outcomes, technical constraints, data and infrastructure requirements, and operational readiness. Maps these needs to Microsoft Azure infrastructure, data, and AI services and engages subject-matter experts as required.
- Contributes to project planning and governance by documenting scope, dependencies, risks, mitigations, milestones, and business value. Supports steering-committee preparation, manages commitments and schedule, and develops and delivers the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
- Implements Azure Infrastructure AI solutions and provides technical leadership across workstreams, ensuring delivery aligns with the approved architecture, security and compliance requirements, Responsible AI principles, and Industry Solutions delivery practices. Manages escalations, assesses cost and operational impacts, and coordinates Microsoft and customer resources to resolve issues.
- Builds trusted relationships with executive customer, partner, and stakeholder audiences; identifies drivers of satisfaction and dissatisfaction; performs root-cause analysis; and establishes recovery actions. Partners with account teams to deliver a One Microsoft experience and shares lessons learned with the consultant community.
- Promotes the reuse and continuous improvement of Microsoft intellectual property by adopting or adapting existing assets, creating repeatable Azure AI delivery content where needed, identifying gaps, and submitting assets for harvesting and curation. Provides actionable feedback to portfolio and solution teams to improve Industry Solutions offerings.
- Identifies opportunities to expand or accelerate the adoption and consumption of Microsoft Azure, including cloud infrastructure, data, AI, and agentic solutions. Enables teams to articulate value propositions, develop new domain offerings, drive responsible innovation and digital transformation, and maximize the use of proven intellectual property.
- Uses GitHub Copilot to accelerate the authoring, review, testing, documentation, and optimization of application code and Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, scripts, and CI/CD workflows, while applying human review, secure development practices, and customer governance requirements.
- Maintains current expertise in Azure infrastructure, Microsoft Foundry, Azure AI Search, data and analytics, security, DevOps, and agent-development technologies based on customer demand and industry trends. Earns relevant certifications, contributes to technical communities, delivers training, mentors team members, and acts as a trusted technical advisor.
- Completes operational, readiness, and compliance activities accurately and on time. Adheres to Microsoft policies and procedures—including authorization, business conduct, labor logging, expenses, and travel—and leads by example in guiding team members on operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Finance, Business, or related field AND 3+ years leadership experience in relevant area of business, OR equivalent experience.
- At least one active Azure AI certification, such as Azure AI Fundamentals (AI-900), Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102), or equivalent Azure AI certification.
- Knowledge of designing and deploying copilots and agents using low-code tools such as Microsoft Copilot Studio.
- 2+ years of experience deploying and managing Azure resources using Infrastructure as Code tools, including Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Professional proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, executives, and cross-functional stakeholders in written and verbal business environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years leadership experience in a relevant area of business.
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience working with Microsoft Fabric or Azure data and analytics services.
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience deploying solutions with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, and Azure AI Search.
- 1 year of practical experience using GitHub Copilot to author, review, test, document, and optimize application code, Infrastructure as Code, scripts, and CI/CD workflows.
- Delivery management experience applying agile, Scrum, or project management practices in customer-facing engagements.
- Intermediate proficiency in Portuguese for professional customer and partner conversations across Latin America.
