About the role

Are you a skilled Software or Data Engineer passionate about taking AI from prototype to robust, production-grade reality?

We are looking for an AI Engineer to work closely alongside our Senior Data Scientist to design, build and maintain high-performing AI applications, RAG pipelines, and data integrations that power our enterprise finance operations.

In this pivotal individual contributor role, you will play a crucial part in modernising our tech stack, maintaining robust MLOps practices, and ensuring code redundancy and seamless system continuity across all production AI services.

Responsibilities

  • Production Solution Development: Build, optimize, and deploy modular AI applications, RAG pipelines, and microservices integrated directly into enterprise Finance tools and databases.
  • System Continuity & Keyperson Backup: Co-own codebases, repository standards, and infrastructure alongside the Senior Data Scientist to eliminate single-point-of-failure risks.
  • MLOps, CI/CD & Infrastructure: Maintain Dockerized deployments, automated CI/CD pipelines, API gateways, and vector store instances using clean code architecture and automated testing.
  • Production Support & Observability: Implement real-time monitoring, error logging, rate-limiting, and cost tracking (token usage, latency optimization), while managing routine incident triage and operational support.
  • Data Integration: Engineer robust ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, dbt, and Python to ingest structured ERP/ledger data as well as unstructured documents (PDFs, slides) into AI contexts.

About you

This role would suit someone with around 3+ years of hands-on experience in Software Engineering, AI Engineering, or Data Engineering building production-ready data or AI applications.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Applied AI, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical mastery).

Core Technical Stack:

  • Languages & Frameworks: High proficiency in Python (FastAPI/Flask, Pydantic) and SQL.
  • AI & Infrastructure: Practical experience with RAG frameworks, vector databases, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, API integrations, and cloud platforms.
  • Data Pipelines: Proven skill with dbt and handling both structured ERP data and unstructured context files.
