About the Role

As the AI Engineer, you will be responsible for the delivery of analytical, machine learning and AI solutions. You will work on challenging projects, collaborate with experienced researchers, and gain practical experience in the application of AI/ML techniques to real-world problems. The successful candidate will be involved in all stages of the machine learning lifecycle, from data preprocessing and feature engineering to model training, evaluation, and deployment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement AI/ML models and algorithms to solve complex problems
- Perform data preprocessing, cleaning, and feature engineering to prepare data for model training
- Train, evaluate, and tune various machine learning models
- Develop and maintain robust and efficient code using Python and relevant libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
- Document code, experiments, and results clearly and concisely
- Collaborate effectively with other engineers within the team
- Work within an agile development model working closely with a product manager and other engineers
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in related field (e.g. Data Science, Predictive Analytics, Statistics, Marketing Analytics, Applied Mathematics, IT)
- 3+ years of experience of analytical methods and their proper application
- 3+ years of experience using AI/ML, data science software (e.g., Python-based tools)
- MUST HAVE experience using Gen AI technologies
- Experience using Cloud Platforms and AI Platforms
Preferred Requirements
- Working knowledge of GCP
- Expertise in open-source data science technologies such as Python, R, Spark, SQL
- Conceptual understanding of data pipelines and MLOps
Compensation and Benefits
Salary: Grade 7-8, ranging from $99,600–$192,900. Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

Work Arrangement
This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
