About NBME
NBME (National Board of Medical Examiners) is a not-for-profit organization that creates assessments and learning tools for physicians and other health professionals. It develops and manages the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) in collaboration with the Federation of State Medical Boards, and offers a portfolio of assessment products across the medical school journey along with assessment services to health profession organizations. In 2024, NBME expanded into simulation through the acquisition of MedVR Education.
